Book what you carry
Two tickets. No vague baggage rules.
Availability is always shown separately because these ticket quotas overlap. We never add them into a misleading total.
Large luggage
For one or more checked suitcases. This ticket reserves both a seat and a place in the luggage compartment, which is planned per departure rather than filled first-come-first-served.
Cabin only
For a cabin bag or a backpack that stays with you. Cheaper, because it does not claim space in the luggage compartment.
Why the two numbers never add up
Availability is shown separately for each ticket type, and the two figures overlap: when the cabin quota is full, a cabin passenger can still take a large-luggage place. That is why we never print a single "seats left" number — it would be wrong in both directions.
If you are unsure
Book large luggage. A suitcase without reserved space is the problem we set out to solve; a reserved space you did not need costs a few euros.
